Vice President
Mary Showstark brings a wealth of clinical and global health experience to her role. She earned both her Bachelor's Degree (2001) and Master’s Degree (2004) from the University of Florida, beginning her career in Trauma Surgery at Shands-University of Florida. Over the years, Mary has gained extensive clinical expertise in trauma surgery, emergency medicine, urgent care, and disaster preparedness, working in diverse urban locations including Los Angeles, Maui, New York City, and Miami Beach.
Mary has an impressive portfolio of global health contributions. She has provided medical care in post-disaster settings in Haiti and Nepal, consulted on healthcare needs in Nicaragua, the Marshall Islands, and the Philippines, and worked internationally in event medicine and concierge services. She has also collaborated with notable organizations like the World Surf League and Burning Man.
Currently, Mary is an instructor at Yale’s Online Physician Assistant Program, where she spearheads initiatives involving Virtual Reality Projects. She also serves on various healthcare boards. In addition to her clinical and academic work, Mary holds certifications in massage therapy and yoga, reflecting her holistic approach to health and wellness.
