Arcadia Trvalik, MMS, MHS, PA-C

Arcadia Trvalik practices emergency medicine in Washington, D.C. She completed her medical training at Wake Forest University and public health training at Johns Hopkins, where her graduate research focused on the cost-effectiveness of utilizing PAs in global healthcare systems, reflecting her dedication to researching innovations in resource-limited settings. During her undergraduate years, she studied community public health in Khon Kaen, Thailand. As a Fulbright scholar, she returned to Southeast Asia and taught English in an under-resourced school in Jitra, Malaysia, where she also led a climate change curriculum. During her time in Washington, D.C., she developed a teaching, research, and policy background and held internships with several USAID-funded global health implementers. In her current role in academic emergency medicine, she is active in education and has contributed to the development of the pre-PA shadowing program.

Arcadia is driven by her passion for global health and environmental sustainability and is interested in the effects of climate change on human health and the role of AI in the health space. She also has clinical interests in pediatrics and obstetrics.
