Sharon Tanner’s journey in global health began early, fueled by her love for travel and helping others. After completing high school in South Africa, Sharon spent two years in London before returning home to earn a diploma in computer graphics and desktop publishing. She then relocated to California, where she worked in the action sports industry before transitioning to healthcare.
Her passion for global health was solidified through volunteer experiences, including time spent working at a clinic in South Africa and collaborating with organizations in Mexico. Sharon later earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the University of California Fullerton, graduating summa cum laude, and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences.
Currently, Sharon is pursuing a Doctoral Medical Science degree in Emergency Management and Global Health while practicing as a PA in physical medicine and rehabilitation. She is also exploring her interest in medical writing, further expanding her contributions to the healthcare field.
