Musonda Joseph Kamfwa, *DrPH(s), MPH, BScBMS, BsPH, CM-COG, PgDip. Cert

The Journey 
Started his journey As a primary School Teaching Student, he would later Change to undergraduate diploma in clinical medicine and surgery under affiliate of the university of zambia, School of developmental medicine (SOM) and was pursuing Bachelor of Science in Public Health with Chreso University at the same time. He graduated with both Diploma In clinical Medicine and BSc public Health.  He would later study HIV/AIDS management at post graduate level, and HIV surveillance and several certificates in HIV and data quality.

POST GRADUATE STUDIES 

Musonda Further Holds a Master of Science  Public Health Degree. As of 2022 September, he is pursuing his Doctorate of Health Science – public Health Genetics and Law.

MEDICAL STUDIES

in the medical sphere, Musonda Has studied a Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences (BScMS) from the university of Lusaka (the first Degree of MBChB). He is currently at Levy Mwanawasa University Teaching Hospital

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATION 

He is a national executive member of the Clinical officers association of zambia (COAZ) where he is the general secretary and has represented the profession of clinical officers in zambia at various platforms including national regulatory council HPCZ, where he sits as a Health professions registration Committee member of the 4th council.

Professional experience 

He is a supportive member of GACOPA and through it he hope to bring integration of national organizations “COAZ” and broaden the clinical officer/physician assistants/associates profession world wide.

He served as Project Manager for several districts in zambia including Sinda, Katete, Siavonga, Monze, Limulunga and Mongu district with ICAP, a global organization that provides health system’s strengthening and Human Resources capacity building to various country’s health sector.

Reviewer and curriculum developer for various professions including clinical medicine and public health

he has served as a clinical officer and other portfolios within the zambia health sector. In pursuant of medical knowledge, Musonda is a renown provider of mentorship in CPDs to university students especially in HIV related fields and Professional code of ethics.
