Empowering PAs to Lead in Global Health

A global deficit of qualified healthcare professionals exists. PAGH will contribute to the solution by providing support, resources, and information that enables the PA profession to provide medical care and support services (administrative, teaching, research) to those in need worldwide.

PAGH was founded on the vision of addressing one of the most pressing issues in global healthcare today: the critical shortage of qualified healthcare professionals. Around the world, millions of people lack access to adequate medical care due to the uneven distribution of healthcare providers and the overwhelming demand placed on existing healthcare systems. Recognizing the unique skills and versatility of PAs, PAGH was created to amplify their impact in solving this global health challenge. Over the years, PAGH has grown into a dynamic and trusted organization, representing a diverse global network of Physician Assistants dedicated to making a difference. As the only organization of its kind, PAGH is uniquely positioned to centralize, support, and advocate for the role of PAs in global health initiatives. In recognition of our leadership, the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) has designated PAGH as the primary organization responsible for addressing issues related to PAs in international healthcare.
