A couple of months ago I finished a month long rotation in Belize as a PA student and wanted to go back in the future as a preceptor for students, and learned that PA’s are not allowed to be preceptors in Belize because they do not recognize them as practitioners. The NP’s are allowed to practice in Belize. I am in the midst of gaining a letter of support from the Medical Director at the clinic and hoping that we have some members on here that know the best course to take in order to get the Ministry of Health in Belize to allow us to precept and practice.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best way to handle this?
